Pivot or Sliding?

A pivot door rotates on an axis point. Majority of shower screens are now manufactured using a pivot system. Over the past 20 years pivot doors have been developed and refined to suit all types of shower screens.

There are a number of different quality pivot systems available. To make sure you have chosen a quality pivot. Choose a pivot that has a stainless steel pin, it is secured correctly to the frame and can be adjusted for squaring the door when required. (Refer Danmac product range)

A sliding shower slides back and forth by two rollers hung from the head track of the main frame. Sliding shower screens have been manufactured for many years and were widely used before the pivot system had been developed. Even though the sliding shower screen has slowed in its popularity in todays modern home in some circumstances a slider would be the most suitable choice where space is limited.
It has been said that a pivoting door shower screens is easier to keep clean than a sliding shower screens.
