HOW THE POOL IS BUILT

1. Marking out the site.

We start by transfering the measurements from the agreed plan onto the site itself.

2. Excavation

We carefully excavate just the right amount of dirt from your backyard.

3. Preparing the excavations

We check and double check the excavation is absolutely accurate.

4. Construction of the formwork.

We build the formwork (the mould for the concrete) around the excavated hole. This formwork will shape the edges of your pool.

5. Laying the reinforcing mesh

Full steel reinforcing is placed as per the engineers instructions all the way through the pool design.

6. Pouring the concrete.

Pre-mixed concrete (to our own specifications) is sprayed over the mesh skeleton of the pool design to give us our basic concrete shell.

7. Preparing for waterproofing.

In this design, being a more formal shape, we added a band of Waterline tiles to the interior. This will help the look of the pool and accentuate the blue colour the client wanted.

8. Setting up the plumbing

Our specialist plumbers come in and sort out all the pipes, inlets and outlets needed to keep your pool clean and in good condition.

9. Waterproofing the shell.

Depending on the type of interior you have chosen for your pool, we will decide what preparation works need doing.

10. The final finishing

In this pool, the desire was for a light blue finish for the final water colour, so a "Crystal White" Interior was chosen.

11. Paving.

We fill the pool with water to stabilise it while we begin the final tidy-up work. The pool will never again be emptied from this point onwards. The first off the list is the paving around the pool.

12. Fencing

With the paving complete, we install an approved fence around it for the sake of safety. All of our work is of course fully compliant with all the necessary regulations.

13. Landscaping

Our landscaping specialists now come in to do their part. They start by moving dirt around to create flat areas and planting mounds.

14. Planting.

After the earthmoving stage, we introduce the plants and lawn to complete the picture.

15. Enjoying your Crystal Pool.

Your very own, custom built Crystal Pool, ready for your family and friends to enjoy (dont look at all those towels!!)
