Solar Covers & Blankets

Solar blankets and covers are all the talk at the moment. And one of the best pool covers around is a Daisy solar cover.

The benefits of a Daisy solar cover include

  • An exclusive UltraDomeTM technology to eliminates weak points.

  • Supertoughened polyethylene resists salt, sun and chemicals.

  • They Cut evaporation by 97%.

  • Warm your pool – free – by up to 8C – giving you months more swimming time.

  • Help keep out leaves and dirt.

  • Cut salt and chemical use by up to 50%.

  • Reduce pool heating costs.

  • Roll on or off in 30 seconds with a Daisy Roller System.

How does a Daisy Pool Blanket work?

The translucent Daisy UltraDomeTM blanket allows maximum sunlight–and heat into your pool. Short wavelength solar energy passes easily through the blanket–generating heat like a magnifying glass. This heat is retained by the insulating qualities of the UltraDomeTM bubble material and the air pockets between the blanket and the water –similar to double glazing.

Darker material is not as efficient, as it impedes the flow of light–and therefore, heat. Silver-backed material tends to reflect the light and heat like a mirror. Neither dark or silver-backed blankets will heat your pool as efficiently as a translucent Daisy UltraDomeTM Solar Pool Blanket. Daisy Solar Pool Blankets are excellent thermal conductors–transferring the solar heat quickly into the water. Daisy blankets with exclusive UltraDomeTM bubble technology are also excellent insulators–letting less warmth back out from the pool.
