Fixing method

Glass is cantilevered on base mounted stub posts SPP1. (Photo) All panels are to be a minimum 1200mm high from top of pavers/tiles to top of glass. This includes a 20-50mm gap between the finished floor and the underside of the glass to allow for water to run under for ease of clearing away leaves and debris. Maximum recommended panel length on 2 stubb pool posts is 2000mm.

Gates are hinged and controlled via a concealed hydraulic floor spring and patch hinge system. This allows for constant high use and speed control over many years. The speed control is a valuable asset during high wind periods. This system ensures it is not possible to slam the gate.

The gate swing speed can be set at 2 different speeds in the course of one complete swing, ie: Adjustment of the speed the gate swings can also be done via the removal of the cover plate and slight turning of the control screws. The first 85% of the swing can be set at one speed(usually faster) and the last 15% can be set at a much slower speed allowing for a soft but still positive latching. This also gives safety consideration to stop delicate items being caught between the latching panel and the gate.

The magnetic safety latch is a horizontal slide bolt style fixed to a patch clamp and is bolted to the inside glass face, 150mm down from the top edge of the glass. This is to comply with AS 1926.1-1993 Fencing for Swimming Pools.

Care and Maintenance

Subject to care and maintenance terms, frameless glass pool fences require minimum maintenance. It is the responsibility of the owner/end user of the pool fence to advise manufacturers of any faults and failures at any time. Easy yearly maintenance is required on the floor spring mechanism by removing the cover plate and spraying with an anti corrosion solution.
