Colour & Textures

Timber

The ranges of standard timbers is great. Victorian Ash, Tasmanian Oak, Black Butt, Brush box, Spotted Gum, Sydney Blue Gum, Jarrah, Grey Ironbark, Red Ironbark are regularly used to in staircases.


Finding the more exotic Australian hardwood in staircase sizes can be a challenge and often the parallel gluing of treads, strings and handrail is required.

Mild Steel

Steel is commonly used in stringers, posts, continuous balustrade and individual balusters. For these applications the steel can be finished in black etch or powder coated.

Stainless Steel

Stainless Steel is commonly used in stringers, posts, continuous balustrade and individual balusters. Stainless steel is often highly polished thus requires great care while installing and protection after installation.

Glass

Glass is most commonly used as balustrading. Glass often has a film applied. Glass requires great care while installing and protection after installation
