Step 6

The Final Touches

A wide range of matching timber profile finish mouldings is available from your stockist. Select from profiles such as architrave, skirting, internal and external corners, scotia, fillet and quad. For example, use a 75 x 25mm architrave at floor level to conceal the face nails used to fix the bottom end of each board; similarly use a 38 x 38mm scotia as a ceiling trim to conceal the nails fixing the top end of each board. With the smaller sizes, it is best to pre-drill all nailing holes to avoid splitting. Punch the nail heads and fill with matching putty or wood filler.
